In February of 1960, Jarod and Kyle were taken from their parents home.

February 4, 1960, Jarod was introduced to Sydney. Sydney tells Jarod that he will be taking care of him for a while. Jarod and Kyle, not remembering one another, are introduced eight years later in January. They become friends and finds a way to communicate with one another, using Morse code.

October 7, 1969, Jarod is introduced to Miss Parker, they too, become friends.

In 1975-76, Jarod is promised that he will get to see his parents, however, after the time they were supposed to arrive, Sydney tells Jarod that his parents have died in and accident.

In October of 95, Mr. Lyle performs an experiment on Jarod, in which they kill him and bring him back.

In August of 96, Jarod is taken in by a sweeper named Damen who promises him freedom, if Jarod will only do one last sim. Jarod does the sim but instead of releasing Jarod, Damen kills Jarod’s friend Kenny.

In September of 96, Jarod escapes from the Centre.

While, helping others and searching for a past Jarod is given a picture of his mother (November 1996). In May of 97 Jarod finds Kyle is brother who supposedly dies in a van explosion. Jarod does get to see his mother from a distance but she has to flee because of Centre sweepers.

In May of 98, Jarod is captured by an angry Mr. Lyle. However, Kyle (believed dead) appears and gets the upper hand. Sweepers locate Jarod and Kyle and move in. Mr. Lyle gets free and threatens to kill Miss Parker. When Jarod puts his gun down, Mr. Lyle proceeds to shot him, but Kyle jumps in front of the bullet and dies. Jarod donates his heart to a local boy with a rare blood type, like Jarod and Kyle.

In May of 99, Jarod finds his father and discovers he’s been cloned giving himself an identical twin that is only a teenager. In May of 2000, Jarod finds his sister Emily and a new brother named Ethan.

In 2001, Jarod stumbles upon two other Pretenders and helps Miss Parker reveal her true family origins.

The end of 2001, Jarod follows a lead to an island off the shores of Ireland. There he finds a secret about him and the true origins of the Parker family. Jarod again, only gets to see his mother from a distance as she flees the island. Jarod and Miss Parker are stuck on the island together and come to an understand even though she can’t let him go. Despite that fact, Jarod manages to elude the Centre.
