LESS THAN PERFECT (new night – Fridays, 9:30-10:00 p.m., ET) — Sara Rue stars as Claudia “Claude” Casey, the assistant to handsome GNB news anchor, Will Butler, played by Eric Roberts. Claude is a little older and a little wiser now, but she still manages to do her job with the same enthusiasm that she had on her first day. Her co-workers on the 22nd floor seem less interested in her vivacious attitude than getting rid of her. Kipp (Zachary Levi) and Lydia (Andrea Parker) are certain that Claude is a minor inconvenience who will easily fold, but while she may look like a pushover, they’ll learn not to push her. With the help of her old friends from the fourth floor, Ramona (Sherri Shepherd) and Owen (Andy Dick), Claude is determined to prove that she may not be perfect, but she’s also not going down without a fight. Claude’s wacky next-door neighbor Carl (Will Sasso) also works at GNB in the cafeteria and is Owen’s buddy. The upstairs/downstairs battle continues in the workplace. As “Less Than Perfect” enters its third season, Patrick Warburton will join the cast as a series regular, reprising his role as Jeb, an opinionated on-air pundit and Lydia’s new fiance.
“O, Brother Where Art Thou?”
Jordan searches for evidence to vindicate her father in conclusion to season finale cliffhangfer — In the conclusion of the second season ending cliff-hanger, Jordan (Jill Hennessy) searches for evidence to clear her father, Max (Ken Howard), who stands accused of murdering the chief of police. Hindered by Max’ disappearancer, Jordan relies on a suspended Woody (Jerry O’Connell), working with detective Annie Capra (guest star Arija Bareikis), to help her track down missing brother James (guest star Michael T. Weiss, “The Pretender”) who she believes to be the key to solving this homicide. Meanwhile, Garret (Miguel Ferrer) butts heads with former romantic partner D.A. Walcott (guest star Susan Gibney) who, in the wake of the chief’s murder, has commandeered the morgue staff as part of the investigation. Kathryn Hahn, Steve Valentine, Ravi Kapoor and Ivan Sergei also star.
Although this episode according to NBC’s website is currently scheduled for Sunday, June 6 (with part two of “Pandora’s Trunk”, last season’s finale on Sunday, May 30), with Smarty Jones having won the Preakness on May 15, there is now a possibility that NBC might move up the cliffhanger resolution to Saturday, June 5. If so, it would be to take advantage of what will be the biggest TV rating for any horse race in at least 15 years for the Belmont Stakes, where Smarty Jones will attempt to become the first Triple Crown winner since Affirmed in 1978, possibly with both parts of “Pandora’s Trunk” ahead of this episode to make for a three-hour “event” following The Belmont Stakes, provided NBC can get the Belmont Stakes telecast moved back to 6:30-8:00 PM Eastern Time.
“Pandora’s Trunk Part II” Repeat
Back on the hunt, Jordan investigates new leads in her mother’s murder in second season finale with guest star MICHAEL T. WEISS — In the conclusion of the season-ending two-parter, Jordan’s (Jill Hennessy) quest for her mother’s killer leads her to the trunk of an abandoned Ford and the 23-year-old skeleton of a murdered Boston detective. When the firestorm created by this discovery prompts Garret (Miguel Ferrer) to remove the vigilant M.E. from the case, she pushes forward on her own in the search for answers –and discovers more of her father’s (Ken Howard) demons in the process. Meanwhile, Woody (Jerry O’Connell) takes over the search for the cop-killer and gains an unlikely partner in the chief of police (guest star Edward Hermann “The Emperor’s Club”). Michael T. Weiss (“The Pretender”) also guest stars as Jordan’s brother. Kathryn Hahn, Steve Valentine, Ravi Kapoor and Ivan Sergei also star.
In a very confusing order of episodes, Crossing Jordan will end it’s very short third season with “O Brother Where Art Thou?” Michael T. Weiss will guest star. On May 30th NBC will air the second season finale cliffhanger in which Jordan finds her brother. On June 6th, NBC will air the conclusion to this story with Jordan’s hunt for her brother.

3.4 million viewers tuned into the two-hour opener to USA’s latest original series, including a 1.5 rating/4 share in adults 25-54 and a 1.1/3 in adults 18-49. Those scores represent a more-than-100% increase over the previous year’s time period average. “Evil” also built on lead-in “Law & Order: S.V.U.” (1.1/3 in 25-54, 0.9/3 in 18-49, 3.1 million overall) in all categories. In terms of overall audience, the two-hour premiere was the second most-watched program on cable on Friday, behind only the network premiere of “Toy Story 2” on the Disney Channel (4.1 million).

FYI: Apparently, Jeffrey Donovan’s Touching Evil is a spin off of an old British ‘hit series’. The original Touching Evil had three seasons consisting of six episodes. Robson Green protrayed Dave Creegan in the British series. The show premise seems a bit different in the regard that Jeffrey’s Creegan has survived a near death experience after being shot in the head, leaving him a bit different than he was before.

I was watching the January 22nd episode of Threat Matrix (Stochastic Variables) and it became immediately apparent that I knew who the actress playing the mother, whose child was taken by its terrorist father, was. I yelled out “Jarod’s Mom!” Yep, that was her. The actress who played Margaret (Jarod’s mother) also played the mother in Stochastic Variables. Kim Meyers did a wonderful job as the worried mother and as Jarod’s mom. Kim has recently been seen on JAG. If you have any other information regarding Kim or any other ex-pretender cast members, please let me know.
And great work Kim! I give you Five Pez’s. [][][][][]
