French film The Translators sets Agatha Christie-style whodunnit in the book industry.
The theft of a best-selling author’s unpublished manuscript sets off this glossy French whodunnit, a thriller with a nightmarish vision of freelance hotdesking that could easily have been a black comedy.
The suspects are the book’s translators, holed up in what amounts to a luxurious bunker beneath a French chateau, complete with a five-star chef, swimming pool and bowling alley.
The answer is in Mrs. Henry Ford who will be played by Marisa Petroro. You’d remember her as Emily, Jarod’s little sister. She’s had numerous roles but according to IMDB her most recent is as Mrs. Henry Ford in Ford vs. Ferrari.
Friday May 11 is Andrea’s debut on Common Law (at least I hope it is). She doesn’t appear in the cast credits of the show but is in the following trailer for this Friday’s show. The video says coming this winter but the official site at USA Network’s website has the show scheduled to premiere this Friday.

Mel Gibson continues his cinematic comeback with a brutal spell in a Mexican prison for Adrian Grunberg’s How I Spent my Summer Vacation.
Grunberg was the first AD on Gibson’s 2010 reworking of the BBC’s Edge of Darkness, a film which threw out a decent punch visually without ever sparking too much engagement however in the two clips we have for Gibson’s latest film (one today, one tomorrow) there’s a good look at Grunberg’s exploration of the chaotic and alienating environment Gibson’s characters lands in.
Gibson produces and stars alongside Peter Stormare, Bob Gunton, Dean Norris, Scott Cohen, Patrick Bauchau and the film is out in UK cinemas this Friday.

Less Than Perfect star Andrea Parker has been tapped to replace Friends alum Jessica Hecht in the final season of Desperate Housewives, TVLine.com reports.
Hecht was originally cast to play the new girlfriend of Tom Scavo (Doug Savant), whose marriage with Lynette (Felicity Huffman) fell apart in Season 7. Talks between Hecht and the ABC series reportedly fell apart, so Parker will step in.
Parker, who will next appear in USA’s Common Law, is one of many additions to the final season, including and V‘s Charles Mesure and Protector star Miguel Ferrer.
Desperate Housewives returns Sunday, Sept. 25 at 9/8c on ABC.
What is that I read? Parker is getting a show on USA? That is what it said. I’ll keep you posted!
