Campaign Third Pretender Movie Poem

There are Pretenders among us.
In 1963, a corporation known as The Centre
Isolated a young Pretender named Jarod
and exploited his genius for their research.

Then one day, their Pretender ran away…

There are Pretender Fans among us.
Fans with the ability to know and excellent program when they see one.
In 2000, a corporation known as
The National Broadcasting Company
cancelled The Pretender and exploited their fans
with an explosive cliff-hanger.

Then one day, TNT made two movies
and left fans even more frustrated…
ARE YOU A FRUSTRATED PRETENDER FAN?
Do you want closure?
Please join a grass roots effort for Frustrated Pretender fans. If fans from around the world band together we can get the attention of the Powers That Be. We fans can pledge to raise the funds to make another movie!

Desperately in love with Housewives

Here’s to hoping I’m not the only one who loved Desperate Housewives. According to ratings the show racked in 21+ million viewers on the pilot episode. Also look for Jamie Denton on the cover of TV Guide October 31st and possibly again in November! Check out Jamie’s site for some pictures from the Desperate Housewives Episodes. You know, since The Pretender I thought Jamie was awesome. I knew he was nice looking but as Mike…. *sigh* he’s just HOT!

Rumor Has It: Addressing Some Rumors

  • Post published:October 12, 2004
  • Post category:from HQ

There have been rumors floating around about cast members and the show so were going to try and clear up anything that has been floating about.

RUMOR: Andrea Parker will not rejoin the cast of Less Than Perfect for its 4th season.
FALSE: This rumor was started before the 3rd season of Less Than Perfect and has not been confirmed by anyone. Andrea has been on talk show stating that she loves working on LTP. In our opinion this is just a RUMOR and is FALSE, like it says at the beginning. If we learn differently we will let you know.

RUMOR: FOX is trying to obtain the right to produce The Pretender on DVD.
TRUE: FOX was or is working to this goal. Last hear the DVD’s were being put out in France (who know’s why) with an English version included on the discs. Go to the Shop page for more information.

RUMOR: PHQ is working on putting transcripts up for the episodes of The Pretender.
TRUE: Okay I only told someone about this recently and was a little surprised when I read this on a board. The Pretender fans spread word fast… its a little freaky. Anyways, I am working on a few episodes but I am far from having them all. Any help would be appreciated.

RUMOR: The DVD’s offered in French also have a English version.
TRUE: I’ll let Ron from the PHQ Forum answer that: “The French Pretender DVDs (look for “Le Camleon” on Amazon.fr or alapage.com) contain the French AND ENGLISH versions of the Pretender.

The quality is superb and the sets are nicely done, lacking any bonus features however . The menu doesn’t let you switch off the French subtitles with the English version… but no harm done, this function isn’t locked: you just turn the subtitles off with your remote control.

The only thing that unfortunately always remains in French is the writing in the opening credits… to be honest: I can live with that.

The DVDs are coded for region 2 which means everyone in another region has to switch his/her DVD player to region 2. This can be done with most DVD players… search the internet or ask a well-known dealer how to accomplish that… mostly it’s done with a “secret” (in fact: not so secret) code or a key combination on the remote control.

There should be releases of season 3 and 4 and the two movies this year.

I can only recommend these discs to every fan! It was a pleasure to see all these brilliant episodes again… and the more DVDs are sold in France, the higher are the chances for the rest of the world to get our favorite show on DVD as well.”

Yes We’ve changed a few things, AGAIN.

The navigation system is different, yet again but the point is to try and make this site work efficiently and easily. As you can see there are six categories Jarod’s Lair, Red Notebook, Red Files, Tech Room, Blue Notebook, Sublevels, and Data Annex. (Try clicking on one link twice and watch the system disappear!)

Jarod’s Lair is information, such as news, about the Pretender. It also contains the faq, shop and a few details about the PHQ.

The Red Notebook is the same as on the show. It is all about Jarod’s pretends so that is where you’ll find the episode synopsis and pictures.

Red Files are about the cast just like they were about the children on TP.

Tech Room is just like at the Centre. It contains all the information they may or may not want you to know… personnel files, projects, subject files and Centre locations.

Blue Notebook… well those were Kyle’s but since his death the PHQ has used them and so that is all about us.

Sublevels are things related to us; such as; Clubs, Guestbook, and cast members new shows which are all directly related to this site.

Data Annex has a few sites we created but are not necessarily what we’re about. It also includes a few of our favorite links and a connection to our links section. This is all off site like the Data Annex is for the Centre. Have fun lurking around.

Desperate Housewives Review: Personally

  • Post published:October 4, 2004

Did you watch this? You have no idea what you missed. Yes, when you see the ads you’re probably think, “How stupid.” I actually said that. And then I thought I will try it out because I love Jamie or James (Jamie Denton, Mr. Lyle) as he is now known. So I watched it. I can’t believe how much I laughed. These people are completely messed up but you find yourself choosing who you completely loved (the less messed up people, I suppose).

Let’s see. There is Mary Alice Young (Brenda Strong) who narrates the entire episode, and episodes to come. She’s one of five housewives who go to each other for support, but for some reason Mary Alice can’t go to the others and ends her life, but not after she made sure her household chores were complete. Of course; her husband, Paul Young (Mark Moses), acts strangely; witnessed by their son who wakes one night after his mothers death to find his father digging up the pool in the backyard.

Then there is Lynette Scavo (Felicity Huffman) who gave up her career for her monster children. With threats of calling Santa Claus’s cell phone and telling him they want socks, she drags her boys to the wake for Mary Alice. Her life is one ‘exciting’ moment after another and the only thing that would make it worse is adding more kids.

Then there is Gabrielle Solis (Eva Longoria) who’s husband, Carols Solis (Ricardo Antonio Chavira), is all business and money. Being an ex-model, she’s beautiful but she mistakenly married for money and now goes to the gardener for her ‘happiness’, goings as far as to race home from her husbands business party to mow the lawn because she had the gardener, John, engaged in other activities.

No one could forget Bree Van De Kamp (Marcia Cross) who looks and acts like she is “running for the mayor of Stepford”. She does everything gardens, upholstery, cooking, and cleaning. Problem is she is driving her husband, Rex Van De Kamp (Steven Culp), absolutely crazy. Careful he’s allergic to onions. Oops!

Last but not least is Susan Mayer (Teri Hatcher) who is divorced and living with her teenage daughter, Julie (Andrea Bowen). The relationship between these two is fun and fresh and their major concern is how to clog a sink just to get Mike Delfino (James Denton) to come over and use his plumbing skills. Of course, it is a big race against Edie Britt (Nicollette Sheridan) to trap this eligible bachelor, but Mike might just have some secrets of his own. But I’m sure he’ll tell you not to eat Susan’s macaroni and cheese. It is the only things she can make but it doesn’t mean she makes it good.

Personally my favorites with just the first episode are Bree (okay very messed up) and Susan… and I will always love Jamie, excuses me James (Mike). The lengths Susan goes to just to get closer to Mike are hilarious and worth seeing. So if you missed this pilot episode set your PVR’s, DVR’s, and VCR’s for Saturday at 7pm for the encore performance and watch it every Sunday at 9pm.

USA’s ‘Evil’ Won’t Last to Second Season By Brian Ford Sullivan

  • Post published:August 12, 2004

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) — USA is pulling the plug on its freshman drama “Touching Evil,” as a network spokesman confirmed earlier this week the cable channel will not renew the series for a second season.

The news comes as USA is experiencing record series numbers from its summer entry “The 4.400” as well as strong showings by regulars “The Dead Zone” and “Monk.”

“Evil” debuted in March on Friday nights to the tune of 3.37 million viewers, falling to 2.3 million on average by the following month. A last ditch effort to relaunch the series on Mondays at 10:00/9:00c didn’t ignite any ratings sparks either.

Bruce Willis, Arnold Rifkin, Allen Hughes, Albert Hughes, Robert Palm and Antony Root were the executive producers of “Evil.”

As for USA’s other originals, “The 4.400” closed its five-week run on Sunday with 6.1 million viewers tuning in, including a 2.3 rating/6 share among adults 18-49, while lead-out “The Dead Zone” continued to fare well, earning 4.6 million viewers and a 2.0 rating/6 share in adults 18-49.

Friday mainstay “Monk” also remained a powerhouse this past weekend, earning 5.8 million viewers and a 1.7 rating/6 share among adults 18-49, both season highs for the series.

Jamie Denton’s New Show!

According to his site, Jamie is going to be on the ABC Fall show “Desperate Housewives”. His character’s name is Mike Delfino, a “more than meets the eye” plumber who has rented a house on a cul-de-sac populated by a bevy of single/divorced/antsy-with-their-husband women. The pilot centers on the secret lives of four of those women. More will be reported when it becomes available.

Less Than Perfect on a new night

  • Post published:June 7, 2004

LESS THAN PERFECT (new night – Fridays, 9:30-10:00 p.m., ET) — Sara Rue stars as Claudia “Claude” Casey, the assistant to handsome GNB news anchor, Will Butler, played by Eric Roberts. Claude is a little older and a little wiser now, but she still manages to do her job with the same enthusiasm that she had on her first day. Her co-workers on the 22nd floor seem less interested in her vivacious attitude than getting rid of her. Kipp (Zachary Levi) and Lydia (Andrea Parker) are certain that Claude is a minor inconvenience who will easily fold, but while she may look like a pushover, they’ll learn not to push her. With the help of her old friends from the fourth floor, Ramona (Sherri Shepherd) and Owen (Andy Dick), Claude is determined to prove that she may not be perfect, but she’s also not going down without a fight. Claude’s wacky next-door neighbor Carl (Will Sasso) also works at GNB in the cafeteria and is Owen’s buddy. The upstairs/downstairs battle continues in the workplace. As “Less Than Perfect” enters its third season, Patrick Warburton will join the cast as a series regular, reprising his role as Jeb, an opinionated on-air pundit and Lydia’s new fiance.
